About the project

Paty Rocks — A party planner with a lead marketplace

The Paty Rocks pivot changes the business model: the platform is free for hosts and revenue comes from vendors. Hosts plan their party with a checklist, budget, and guest list; when they still need a venue, catering, or a DJ, they ask for proposals and authorize up to three vendors to reach out. Every revealed contact is tied to a versioned consent record. It is separate from the first version, with its own database and no shared code, and it launches in Mexico City with a geographic catalog ready for the whole country.

How it works

Hosts

  • Create their party in a step-by-step wizard, and the account is created right there
  • Dashboard with the next action, a dated checklist, per-category budget, and a guest list with RSVPs
  • Each need (venue, food, music…) has its own brief; asking for proposals is a separate button that records consent
  • Proposals and conversations live inside the party; hiring marks the need as covered and opens the review

Vendors and operations

  • Vendor sign-up with coverage by category and municipality, plus a photo gallery
  • Human review queue: every request is approved, sent back with a reason, or discarded before it is distributed
  • Vendors see the party type, date, guest count, and budget, but never the contact until they take the lead
  • Cohort funnel, refund requests, and an audit of every revealed contact with its consent
  • Account verification and password recovery with six-digit email codes
